I am raffling off this Chefs knife and ALL of the funds will be going my good friend David Lees and his family. Here is a summary of what has been going on that was given to me by his family.

David was diagnosed with an extremely rare appendix cancer in 2020. After going through surgery that year and chemo, his cancer slowly came back. He had a repeat cancer removal procedure done this past spring at a hospital 700 miles from home with a national specialist. While the procedure went well, he had every complication possible, one resulting in the loss of his stomach. His 3 week stay in the hospital for his initial procedure turned into 4 months in the hospital, many of those days in ICU, with his wife by his side every day, living out of a hotel. He got discharged home in August and has been recovering and getting stronger every day. However, last week he had chest pains and had to have a procedure done on his heart. Because of the complication from earlier this year, he will have to be under the close care of a medical team for at least 6 weeks as he recovers. Although he is only an hour from home for this hospital stay, it is still going to be rough.

Since getting this summary a little over a week ago the conditions have worsened quite a bit. I want to help in some way and hope you all will feel the tug at your heart to help as well.

This Chefs knife is forged from 1080/410 steels and had a Red Malee Burl handle. There will not be a set amount of entries sold but I will run the raffle until Saturday December 9th at 7pm central time and then I will draw for the winner. $10 gets 1 entry $20 gets 2 entries and so on. The knife will ship for free with insurance in the lower 48.
