This is a forged chefs knife made from 1080 steel. The handle is Black Ash Burl with a Micarta bolster and spacer. The turquoise spacer is phenolic. The blade measures 6 inches long and is about .125 of an inch thick at the thickest point. The overall length is just over 10.5 inches. This knife would be great for kitchen use, barbecuing, as well as many other things.
